About the Publisher/Artist

Sheena Singh has been living her life on a broad canvas. She immigrated to the United States from India at the age of 20, and has made Toronto her home since 1987. She is an artist who has used her gift of art by publishing the Multicultural Calendar through her non-profit company, Creative Cultural Communications. Her unique and universal themes impress the message that the essence of all human beings is the same. During the summer months, she works as a Past Lives Therapist, having completed her Masters in counselling Psychology from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles.
After several years of working in the corporate environment where she worked in human resources, public relations and affirmative action, Sheena created the first Multicultural Calendar in 1992. The calendars were well received by organizations that had a diverse workforce, since they highlighted dates for all the major religions and cultural festivals. The calendar project gave her the opportunity to travel through Israel, Egypt, Kenya, China, Peru, Scotland, England and Mexico. As she travelled, what impressed her the most was that although people looked physically different, they were all the same in spirit. Thus to impress upon that fact, the impressionistic art of the human subjects does not show facial features. Some of the past themes have been "The Magic of Music" and "GlobalDancers".
